Anyhow, if you haven't seen that movie yet, it's on DVD, and it is really great - especially if you like cooking - and I already know you like blogging! It's such a cute movie. I'm not a Meryl Streep fan, but she hit it out of the ballpark with her rendition of Julia Childs. She was a HOOT! I had no idea what a character Julie Childs was. At one point during the movie I whispered to my friend Shelly, "I wish I was Julia Childs!" and Shelly whispered back, "You are!"
The only thing I'd suggest, if you haven't seen this movie yet - is have lots of munchies nearby - you'll be STARVING through the whole thing, because they show so much good food!!!!
Michelle, Melissa and I are going to throw a "Julie and Julia" party this January. We're going to invite about 30 girls from our SAMmy's group to come and watch it with us. I think we'll have Stone Soup - you know - we'll make the broth and meat, and then everyone bring 1 cup of a soup ingredient. Kind of fun. And, we'll have a salad bar. Then, women will come and have bread, salad and soup (and, of course cheesecake!) and we'll watch "Julie and Julia"!
Any other ideas? I love to hear ideas from people - on simple decorations or invitations or anything else? I'd love to pick your brains and make this a simple, yet really fun party. Oh, and it's bring a friend, so if you live near Hudson, Wisconsin and would like to come, let me know. When we nail down a date, you'd be more than welcome! :)

I almost rented this tonight but I could make up my mind. Now I have to see it. After I watch it I'll see if I have any ideas:)

I have a great idea - you should invite your friend Kami to the party. It sounds like something she would thoroughly enjoy and would have NO problem traveling for! :)
Just a thought ...!
