The Thursday Files

So, what are you all up to today?
I had an EARLY treatment at the hospital today - tomorrow's my last one! I had to be there at 7:45am! Same deal tomorrow...which is great because I have to take off to the Embassy Suites for our SAMmy's retreat weekend. I won't be emailing or blogging all weekend, but hopefully I'll have plenty of pics and stuff to gush about when I get back!!! I'm excited about it!
After treatment, I met my good girlie friend Robbin (one of my infamous "Thursday Girls" I talk about from time to time). We met at Caribou Coffee and chatted up a storm.
Then, I dropped in on Shelly. I needed her to paint my nails - toes and fingernails. She was just finishing up cutting some friends' hair, so we had a good old-fashioned gab session while she painted away. Have to make those fingernails pretty to match my new dress for the retreat (bright fuschia)!
Oh - the new dresses! Well, the little black one is an oldie-but-a-goodie, but I had to get a shrug to go over it because I have to wear a lapel microphone and there's nothing to pin it on and it is kind of a halter sleeve thing and I wanted to be a little more covered - but it is sheer. But my Saturday dress! Oh, it's SO CUTE! It's white with black trim and bright fuschia flowers! My favorite color combination. And I picked up some cute jewelry. I will post pictures. Cute. Cute. Cute. For my age, I mean - I know a lot of you youngsters can pull off much cuter things, but some day you'll have to tone it down because Mother Nature will be doing some pulling down of her own!
Now I'm off to do some last minute notes for my speeches and get them in the car, with my suitcases. Mike will have to get those in the car for me.
Tomorrow, after my treatment (my LAST treatment!!!!), I'm meeting my friend Jodie from Eau Claire at the Park N Ride here in town. She is another annual speaker we have at the retreat. I wish you all could hear her - she has an interesting story. Her husband Tim died of brain cancer 5 years ago, but the faith and miracles that we all experienced in the midst of that story is the most inspiring thing! I don't know if I would of believed all of it had I not been there. Anyhow, Jodie and I are having brunch and then heading to the Embassy Suites to help the retreat committee set up for the 3:00 registration time!
Can you tell that the SAMmy's retreat is one of the highlights of my year? This is like Christmas for me.
I'm a tad excited.
Can't wait to report back to you!

You're hilarious ;)

Have an awesome time on your retreat!! Can't wait to hear about it! Also, I don't think I ever said, but I'm so sorry about the MS diagnosis. I'm glad you have an answer, I was just really praying MS wouldn't be the diagnosis :( I'll continue to pray for you!

Hope you're doing well :)
