Monday Random Thoughts

I hope your Easter weekend was a good one! I didn't visit anyone's blog during that time, because my family and I were traveling. We were at my in-laws' place. I spent the weekend with a spinal tap headache (Maura, you sound as though you may know a little about those?) and while that part was not very fun, I tried to muscle my way through it. I took mega doses of Excedrine Migraine and Sudafed which allowed me enough relief at one point to see a movie on Saturday with my SIL, Bridgette and niece. We saw Nicholas Spark's "The Last Song." I had my doubts about Miley Cyrus' acting ability, because I personally have seen one too many Hannah Montana Episodes (I have a teenie bopper in the house!)...but, she really surprised me! I heard N. Sparks wrote the book with Miss Cyrus in mind for the role. All the actors were phenomenal - and it was a movie that promoted all the things I wanted Bridgette to see - Miley was a strong female teen who stood up for what was honorable, had a good, clean romance and taught a skanky girl to not let a boy treat her like dirt. She worked through some tough emotional problems, too. I just loved the movie.

If you're a Nicholas Spark's and/or a chick flick fan - then grab some girlie friends and some tissue and head out and see this flick. It's great. But, you have to like the tear-jerker type movie - or else you'll hate it. I love a good emotional movie!

A couple of you have been asking about my test results. Well - I haven't gotten them all back yet. It's basically ruling things out. I know I don't have an infection, or Lyme's disease. My protein's a little high, but that can be due to a myriad of things. I'm waiting for one or two more tests to come back. I am still feeling about the same, (aside from this headache, which is subsiding...) except that my hands have lost feeling (which makes typing a litte frustrating - you have no idea how many times I've had to correct this sentence or hit escape because I've pressed something and a pop-up menu comes up!). I don't know if the hands thing is because of the disease or because something got inflamed with the spinal tap. Time will tell. Thanks for checking in on me. I'm in good spirits and I'm tough and God is good - and so are my friends. Shelly is brining over dinner (and I'm letting her - see? I'm accepting help for all of you who think I have trouble doing that - I'm growing, too...) :) Many lessons are being learned, so all is not bad. I am grateful for God, family, love and friendship. I'm becoming much more of a sap! ;)
So, how was your Easter? I plan on checking in on everyone else over the course of the next few days. I see the sun outside...time to hang bedding today! One of my favorite gigs when it comes to household chores. Where I was for Easter - there were 45 mph winds! I guess it was warm and sunny here, as it is now. Ahhhh...it's good to be home. I feel like Dorothy. "There's no place like home...." :) That's how I felt last night - I hadn't slept well - you know what that's like? Sleeping somewhere else? It's always harder to sleep when you're not in your own bed. I slept SO WELL last night!

There's no place like home!

I need to see this movie. I read the book. I am interested in seeing how Miley Cyrus pulls off the lead roll. I hope you are feeling better soon. That is terrible.

That is so good that you are remaining positive while waiting for test results. That must be frustrating having your hands numb. That is so wonderful that you have friends to help with dinner. I'll continue to pray for you!
Also, I kind of want to see that Nicolas Sparks movie because I have seen all the other ones, I think anyway. I'll have to see it with girl friends because my husband won't want to see it. :)

I am glad to hear your review of the movie. I probably wouldn't have gone to see it, but it seems that most people thought it was really good.
I have been wondering about your test results. I will keep my fingers crossed that you get everything figured out!

I've been so behind in my blog reading and I had no idea that you were struggling with something! I could have been praying for you all this time!!!

Well..I'm prayin' for you now, girl.

I love Nicholas Sparks but I cannot stand Miley Cyrus. I don't know if I can stomach her in a whole movie ;-)
