Can you even remember the last time I played along in Five Question Friday? (It wasn't really that long ago...but it seems quite a long time ago!) I need a diversion from the stressors of this real life. (One quick real life fact before we continue for those of you following this soap opera we call my life - the doctor yesterday gave me a diagnosis for all of these wacky symptoms - MS - no real surprise there. It's fun to see what everyone answers! It's kinda like the "slam books" we had in grade school - I guess you'd only know what those were if you were a dinosaur like me! ;)
1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Kate Hudson - who is much younger, thinner, blonder and prettier than I am, but darn she'd be good at playing me...doncha think? I mean other than all those other things, she's a dead ringer for me! lol
2. Did you ever go to summer camp?
I went to Girl Scout camp once. I wish I would have gone to a church camp. I hear all these cool stories about kids going to church camp. It sounds pretty cool. Every time my kids (well, Bridgette, actually - Aaron never wants to go to camp - he did as a cub scout but never wants to go to teen camp through church) want to go to church camp, we have family camping trips that we've planned in advance that conflict with those trips and she can't go. Too bad. Maybe next year (we've said that 3 years now...)
3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?
Spiders, bees, being asked to play video games with my teenage son (those violent hand-eye coordination battle games - ugh!), being asked to pay bills or do anything confrontational
4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts?
Every time I'm messy, or when I feel the need to tell others about things that happen between us...I'm not as private as he is!
5. What is currently your favorite song?
I just bought the Zac Brown Band CD and Darius Rucker. I like "Hip To My Heart"...who sings that? It's a fun song.

Tonight, Mike and I are having a family fish fry. We have a big propane turkey fryer that we fry fish in outside (so we don't stink up the house). We have scads of bluegills in the freezer that we need to fry up. He's the best fish fryer...and I don't have to do the cookin'! I just buy some really good bread and make some coleslaw and he fries up some yummy fish. Yumm!
The boys are going turkey hunting, so Bridge and I are heading to my mom's for the weekend - a girlie weekend of shopping and hanging out and restauranting. Doesn't that sound nice? My mom spoils me rotten, so I'm REALLY looking forward to this... :) What are your weekend plans? I hope you have something good to look forward to!

I love Kate Hudson....I would have totally picked her if I would have thought of her. I chose Jennifer Aniston because I just watched Marley and Me the other day and she was the only one I could think of :o)
I´m sorry about the diagnosis!!! I was praying it wouldn´t be MS. I was really hoping for something simple to fix! I will keep praying and you know your always in my thoughts :o)

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. There is some exciting new research going on right now regarding MS treatment that looks really promising I will be praying for all involved in that. I will also pray for your myelin sheaths to stay strong for you. You are so brave and full of grace I truly admire you Pennie.

I went to a Christian camp a few years in a row with my best friends when I was younger, it was so much fun! Great memories!
Spiders and bees send me running and screaming....and so does confrontation too!!
We have a turkey frier and we fry....a turkey. :) Usually about once a year we do that. Fish sounds good by my hubby doesn't like seafood. :) Well, except the breaded frozen fish...yuck.

In the meantime, thanks for the mac n cheese recipe. I am not lying when I say that Ellie and I had Kraft Macn cheese at least 5 times last week. Gross.
Oh, I remember how yummy those bluegills were that your hubby fried up for us! That was the first time I met you if I recall. Gunnar was in his car seat in your kitchen while we ate dinner..seems like yesterday. :)
