Just wanted to say "Good morning!" before I dashed out to meet my friend Melissa at the coffee shop!
Then, it's back home to try to continue to gain control of this mess.
You see, while I was having my big crisis of last week - running to appointments and tests and running my MRI to Eau Claire and basically just trying to cope, the housekeeping fairy NEVER SHOWED UP! The nerve!!!!
So, yesterday, after church, it became apparently clear that this house was one. big. pigsty. Ugh. And Mike and I became very stressed about it - and he had bills to pay and taxes to do (something I'm NOT very good at doing), so I started the big clean up.
Started is the key word.
It's a big job.
A whole week's worth of living and freaking out makes for one big mess. And, the dog - who hasn't had one accident since she was little, decided to add to our excitement. Rather, the kids' job is to take Angel out on weekend mornings. (On weekdays, when they have school, I do it.) And, I usually remind them. But, on Sunday I didn't. So, Angel reminded them...by peeing on the beige carpet. Sigh.
Good news? My mom has this AMAZING cleaner she got with her Dyson vacuum (my FAVE vacuum - I have one,too - I am a vacuum diva). It's Dyson Dyzolv spray cleaner. I found it on Amazon and I ordered it. Because for a 10 pound dog, Angel peed about 12 pounds of pee. TMI? Maybe...but I used Resolve, and while the carpet around the stain got lighter, and the stain did, the stain came back and you can tell it's there. Sigh. Bad news? I ordered it yesterday and have to wait for it to arrive.
Anyhow, today I'm finishing up laundry and ironing and vacuuming my carpeting that looks HORRIBLE. Like I said, I'm a vacuum diva. Love to vacuum and usually do it every day - every other at least. I haven't this past week...and it looks like it. Yuck. And my kitchen floor? Don't get me started!
So, today I get control of my life again. It will feel good. And if Ian Leonard (our Channel 9 weatherman) was right and it IS sunny today, I am hanging my sheets on the line...I LOVE that smell!
My only dilemma? What's for dinner? Really. Tell me. Last time I asked that, my friend Shelly said she was making this chicken crock pot dish where she put in chicken, sour cream, and cr. of chicken soup. She served it over biscuits. I copied and my family raved. So, tell me -what are you having for dinner...maybe we are, too! ;)

Have fun cleaning today :o) I have a carpet cleaner that crapped out on me during our move here :o( I clean my carpets ALL the time, like once a week all the time :-0
I have no clue what I am making for dinner yet. Probably something simple and fast.
Have a great day!!
How about Spaghetti Bolognese?
We're having a casserole tonight with cauliflower, salmon and noodles with a sauce of herbage cream cheese.
Hope you'll find something that your family likes :-)
Think about dinner right after I just figured out lunch?! Who am I, June Cleaver? ;-) Hope you figure out something delicious! Come to think of it, I hope *I* figure out something! :-)
OH! And I ****LOVE**** our Dyson!!! I'm going to look into that cleaner though! Not for our dog, but for our little daughter still being potty trained!!!
One day I want that Dyson!!! or wood floors... the Dyson is probably cheaper, huh? ha ha
My house looks like that regularly! I need a faithful house keeping fairy!
Dinner is ground turkey with Italian herbs, garlic and spaghetti sauce over spaghetti squash... for the grown ups and over pasta for the kids! yum! simple meat sauce made with ground turkey... add the protein, low fat, heart healthy!
Hope your week is filled with sunshine! We are starting off that way anyway!
Good Morning! I have not even thought about dinner yet...is that bad?
I have heard awesome things about the Dyson, one of these days I may have to fork over the money and actually get one!
You would be so proud of me just went grocery shopping for the week(busy work week ahead) something you know I'm not used to doing so I have so many choices from the pioneer women blog not for sure what to choose. Happy cleaning & I will see you soon!
Good idea! I should check out the Pioneer Woman! I (gasp!) never remember to look her up. I just never do. (I always end up making connections with my bloggy buddies who I have a connection with and who I chat with every week!) I'll go see her now...(sounds like I'm off to see the wizard, doesn't it?)
Ugh Dog Pee.
I have to do all that cleaning PLUS pack and move stuff so the carpet guys can come and the painters can come too. Not fun. I FEEL FOR YOU!
p.s. I'm hosting a giveaway, you should come and enter!
Hey pretty lady! I'm just catching up on the past week of blogging and I had the time to read about your doctors visits and your MRI. I'm proud of you for not allowing this to defeat you! You are a child of God, and now more than ever, He is holding you in His loving hands. Stand firm on the promise that Jesus took all of our sicknesses and diseases when He died on the cross so that we don't have to have them.
I love you! I can't wait to officially meet you in person in a few weeks! I'm praying for you continually, sweet sista!
P.S. Try this for dinner - it's super easy to prepare and SO yummy!
