Manic Monday Moment

Do you like the title? I'm going to name my Monday posts this, because if I ever do Monday posts, they are going to be done QUICK in the morning. You see, I get MS shots at my hometown hospital Monday mornings at 8am, usually. Then, I go home and get a few things done before I get the side effects - flu like symptoms. Then, I spend the rest of the day in bed with high fever, chills, and body aches. Don't feel too sorry for me...by mid afternoon, I am just feverish and I get to read all day and relax. If I ever do get used to this shot, I'm going to just fake it, so I can read all day and sit in the sun and soak up some R&R!!! That's my plan! So, I will manically be typing out my Monday posts, when I have something to say! :)

Anyhow...the most amazing thing happened yesterday that I HAVE to tell you about!!! This is SO COOL! First of all - you have to read my post from yesterday in order for you to think this cool at all. You know - the one about the clothespins and my tempter tantrum? (btw, Cathy's comment cracked me up...for anyone who knows her, she IS a professional shopper! If she could make money by shopping for herself, she would. She can out-shop anyone I know...)

Well, yesterday, the fam and I went to my mom's in Eau Claire to help her with some yard work and to visit (read: Aaron and Mike did her lawn work while Bridgette and I visited with her and watched her make dinner). I was telling my mom the clothespin story, and she kept wanting to interrupt me. (Not like my mom - that's more my style. But, she let me finish...) Then, she got this big smile on her face and told me to wait in her kitchen and she went into the garage. She came out with this bag of push on clothespins and tears in her eyes! She had gone to a resale shop last week, and she had a feeling she should buy these clothespins. She doesn't even LIKE these kind of clothespins!!! She would walk away from them, and keep coming back. She felt God tell her to buy them. Finally, she bought them and set them in the garage. THIS WAS LAST WEEK...BEFORE I EVEN TRIED TO PINCH THE ONES IN MY LAUNDRY ROOM...BUT RIGHT AROUND THE TIME I HAD THE SUSPICION I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO IT WITH MY MS HANDS...
Well, both of us saps had tears in our eyes and goose bumps on our arms. She was so tickled that she listened to that still, small voice that told her to do something so irrational that didn't even make sense. She said she knew as soon as I was telling the story and said the word "clothespins" - she knew exactly what I was going to say and what I wanted. Isn't that the craziest thing????
And, I wasn't even going to post that story on my blog about the clothespins because I thought it was kind of jerky of me.
And, here it goes and gives glory to God.
I just love that!!!!
It just goes to show that He does take an interest and He does care about the little things in our lives. He really does.
Oh, here's a picture of them. My mom says they don't make these kind anymore. They have the wire reinforcers - she says they're from the 60's. Fun. What a blessing!

I hope this post reminds YOU that He cares about the little things in YOUR life, too! Because, He does! :)
Have a great day, everyone! Tomorrow I'm hanging clothes out on the line! Happy Day!

God is SO great! Doesn't he work in the most wondrous ways? I love this story!

What I don't love is that you have enough pain to deal with from the MS and then you get flu like symptoms EVERY WEEK?! Bless your heart! If I lived closer, I'd come take care of you every Monday.

You'll continue to be in my prayers!

Also, your comment on my blog cracked me up! Couldn't you just see me as a Peace Corps worker introducing myself in Bangladesh-- "Hello, I'm Marianne Lacy Panties and blah blah blah" HAHA! So professional ;)

Wow, that is such an awesomely motivating story!
I wish someone would write a book with all of the cool little "crazy" stories about how God works in our lives when we least expect it, and in the wildest ways!
