...incliment weather.
Now as the recording droned on, my brain started getting worked up.
INCLIMENT WEATHER????
Now, schools in these parts are hearty.
We didn't close after the snow storm that dropped 22 inches of snow (granted, it happened on a weekend, but it was still pretty drastic...).
We didn't close when the temperatures were -15.
We didn't close when the wind chill was -30.
And, yesterday it was 52 degrees!!!!
I listened intently as the recording explained that school today was delayed two hours because of....
Whatever. Aaron's overjoyed. He went back to sleep and told me to wake him up in two hours. :)
And, he heard that Monday we're in for more snow. The "big snow" is supposed to miss us, and hit Iowa.
The kids are hoping for at least one snow day this year!

I didn't even send Aleah to school when it was -30. She got a free pass that day :)

Fog? Seriously. How wierd. I personally would not have gone on ANY day it was below 0.

Yeah for two extra hours of sleep! We had fog yesterday morning. Wasn't bad until after I had got to work. It's an erie sight to be 10 stories up and look out to see NOTHING.
You don't close in wind chills like that?! That's insane!!! How is it safe for the kids to stand outside at the bus stop in those kind of temperatures?
At least you guys got some extra sleep!
Wow! Fogged in?! It was like that in Iowa yesterday too. Very foggy... But they had school. I think the kids don't want anymore missed days either to kill their summer...
Oooohhhh....fog! Fog creeps me out! We never close schools here...we would have to get at least 50 inches of snow for that to happen. I don't think it ever happened when I was going to school :(

Can I just say... I am SO over winter... and we have had a really really mild one compared to your stories!! sheesh... I am a wimp... Capital W. Wimp! I do feel a little sorry for my kids... they really really wanted one good snow... that lasted more than 5 hours!! so they could use their new sled... from two years ago... NO snow last year... and only two short ones this year... the NOT so joys of the PNW!! =) We had 18 inches two years ago... for days... it was blissful for my kids... hm... this is a novel... still love me?? Glad you finished your writing... speaking of novels!! =) alright.. I am done for now.. Enjoy the long weekend!
