'Tis The Season...

As I posted yesterday, the weather around here was pretty active! At 8am yesterday, we clocked in at 14 inches of snow (well, I guess Woodbury, MN did...which is nearby here...I didn't hear what our town clocked in at, exactly...) and it continued to snow heavily until evening. Even this morning, when the kids went to the bus stop I noticed there were real light flurries (REAL light) floating down.

Well, Jenn from Seizing My Day asked me to post a picture of my bird bath, because I had mentioned that the snow had been creeping up to almost the rim of it and I had commented on her picture that she posted of her hubby mowing her LAWN! That won't be happening here anytime soon...

So, Jenn...and anyone else who's curious (Laura and Shelly won't be...because they live a few miles over and are probably sick and tired of it all by now...) - this is what it looks like:

Here is the view outside our front window in fall. Notice the turkeys? Mike put up the bird feeders...and the bird bath. We had THREE piliated woodpeckers there at one time last week and they wiped out about one suet cake in an hour!

Now, this is what it looks like this morning. All you can see of the bird bath is the rim. The bush is completely covered. Isn't that a HOOT???!!!! I love how the snow just covered the bush to look like a snow bank! (We didn't shovel snow on it or anything...the snow fell like that...we shoveled the snow from the sidewalk to the right.) Crazy!!!

Well, I guess 'tis the season! :) Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Hope you're staying warm! I'm baking cookies today, doing Aaron's laundry and planning my meals for the week. What are you doing?

I love your front view!
BTW: The other night I soaked in the tub and started reading the Song of Renewal. Good thing I was already reclining in water... I bawled during the first 4 chapters! Haven't had the time to read since, but maybe this weekend I can relax again and get further into it.
Good book!

Holy cow that is a lot of snow!!! I am so glad we don't have any snow here, I got sick of it last time it snowed. We have plenty of rain here though :( Every morning I have woken up to rain and then in a few hours it is gone and the weather has been beautiful. This morning the weather is ugly though.....the wind is blowing and the rain is coming down hard!!! I keep waiting to blow away with all this wind hahaha.

I hope you have a great Wednesday (it's already Wednesday here).

Haha you are so right, I AM getting sick of seeing all this snow. :) Before this week we had grass popping through, not anymore. :( I heard we are only like a foot and a half to breaking the record for snow fall, is that right!? Anyway, I'm hoping for some more 50 degree days soon.
