Head on over to Mama M's blog at My Little Life and join the Friday sensation...everybody's doin' it! ;)
Here's how it works...we cut and paste the same questions and answer them, and then check out everyone else's answers...easy, peasey! I'd love to see what YOU would answer...so answer down in my comments if you're not in the blog hop! (Even if you ARE...because you know I LOVE to read your comments!)
Here goes...the questions for this week are:
1. Would you rather be on ABC's Extreme Home MakeOver or TLC's What not to Wear?
Definitely on TLC's What not to Wear. My hubby would be really ticked if people started messin' with the house. He's VERY PARTICULAR and he does a great job with all the painting and remodeling - he would put their stuff on Extremem Home MakeOver to shame! (And, I really worry about the quality of their stuff sometimes...really? If it's done in such a rush, can it really be done WELL? Just sayin'...)
What Not To Wear would probably do me some good. My friend Robbin has a fashion merchandising degree. She is the one who wears all name brands, carries a Coach purse, looks like a model...you know the type. I love it when we go shopping and she puts me in a dressing room and just throws stuff over the side for me to try on. She'll tell me "no" or "yes." That's how I originally found out which brands were my brands and I stick with them. I like to look nice, but am not always a genius at putting outfits together. :)
2. Do you have any tattoos?
Nope.
3. Do you tell your kids about things you did growing up?
There are things in my past Mike and I don't think they're ready to hear yet, but it's coming soon, I can feel it. I want to tell them more than Mike. Basically, because I am a conference speaker and I speak at women's events about certain traumatic (and very dramatic) things that happened in my life many years ago once in a while (not really often, but once in a while things slip out when necessary to a topic). And, sometimes when I'm with family a reference is made.
My kids know there's "something in Mom's past" that is traumatic...and that I have done some things I'm not proud of... Like the other day, Bridgette and I were driving in the car and we were talking. Bridgette asked why I don't tell her about some of the things I did in high school. I told her that I didn't think it would be helpful to her, because she is much more mature than I was and it may be a hindrance to her - she may think that it would be okay for her to do it then, because I turned out okay. She looked at me and said, "That makes sense. That's probably good parenting." Um...how old are you, kid? Thanks for affirming my parenting skills... She just cracks me up sometimes! I don't know how I got these great kids, but I'm sure glad I did!
4. If the traffic signal turns yellow, do you stop or speed up?
If this would have been a question LAST YEAR, I would have said "stop." But, Aaron is in drivers ed now, so every time I speed up he makes a comment...and there have been quite a few comments lately when we're in the car together...so I'm working on it. (Cop Mama...you can skip over this question...)
5. What's your preference: chocolate or chips?
It used to be "chocolate", hands-down, but as I get older (did I just admit that?) I think it depends on my mood...it's a woman's right to change her mind - right?
Okay - those are the official answers! I'd love to know what you would answer for one, some, all...What would it be??? This is a fun way to get to know each other better! Happy Friday!

Take care!
Jen
thanks for stopping by today
first of all i need your husband to come do some painting and remodeling at my house
second of all i need your fashion friend to come dress me, because i need some serious help in that dept too.
have a great weekend.
Wow! Your daughter sounds smart! My son would just keep badgering me...
I think picking a house make over would take priority to me. I don't want people to concentrate on me.
*I'm shy*.
That's a tough choice...but I think I would like the $5000 clothing shopping spree on What Not To Wear! Yes, I have a tattoo, and I want more ;) I was a good little girl, so there is nothing to tell ;) I speed up at the yellow light...terrible I know. Even my little one's tell me to slow down! Definitely chocolate!
Have a great weekend!
I could never ever ever let someone else do a "home make over" on my home. It wouldn't feel like "home" with someone else decorating what comes from our hearts...
I tell my littles things I did when I was really young... but the high school stuff... um... yeah... for my memories only until they graduate!! =) love B's reply!! ha ha! smart cookie!
