Hubby just finished painting the Livingroom...a slate blue color...looks great with our brown leather furniture! Last week he did our entryway a khaki green. Next Saturday our kitchen gets a slathering of sandalwood color (and we have a dinner guest Saturday evening...but the man insists it's doable...).
My neighbor Sue just dropped off a plate full of homemade cookies (I forgot what she called them, but they're rolled up, kind of like miniature burritos, with jellied filling and cream cheese inside, with powdered sugar on the outside of the cookie shell...very yummy!) And when I say a plate full I mean a plate FULL! She said she brought them over to make me feel better.
You see, Thursday I saw her as I passed by the end of her driveway when I was walking Angel and stopped to chat. Bridgette had told her that I recently changed my MS treatment (well...I explained it was LAST AUGUST...not really recently...). Her husband had a stroke around that time, and we caught up on each other's lives. She's a really sweet lady. Her husband ADORES Bridgette because she spends time with both of them - they are in their late 50's/early 60's - and Bridgette is really not aware of age...she has friends that are 5, and friends that are 75...no matter to her! They love that she treats them like friends.
Anyhow, Sue said that when I stopped by last Thursday, that I looked tired...and that I still did. That's why she carved out the time to make me those cookies - and she bought me some chocolates. How sweet is that??? I admitted that I did have a tough week. But, nobody usually notices stuff like that! It's really nice when somebody goes out of their way to do something kind. And to know that somebody cares enough to notice (and care) that I'm tired and not doing well. Just to know that somebody may be looking out for me, or may be there for me if I need 'em.
She really made my evening.
I need to make sure I make her a really nice thank-you note.
And, pay the good deed forward, you know?
Little things like that make a world of difference.
I love my neighbors!

That is so sweet! Bridgette sounds like the most awesome kid ever :) I know I have said this many times but this is why I want a girl...girls are different from boys. Not that my boys aren't great, they are :)
I hope you are doing good, try to get some rest!!! Take a day and lay around doing nothing...could you do that??? I don't think you could hahaha.
Have a great Sunday!
