Ever since Christmas I have received many requests to turn my thoughts and calendars to...
Summer????
REALLY?
SERIOUSLY????
My summer weekends are almost full, now.
And many of my weeks.
Bridgette is going to Washington, DC for her 8th grade field trip. (Remember, Aaron went last year?) I won't be able to pick her up from that - Mike will have to - because I'll be going to Shipshewana (fun to say!), IN with my SIL's and MIL for our every-other-year Amish shopping spree.
We have our annual Bixler long weekend get-away with Mike's parents and brothers' families where the cousins spend the days in the lake and running around playing kick-the-can and the SIL's, MIL and I hit the touristy places while the men-folk do their fishing thing and give the kids their tubing fix on the lake.
I always have a training conference to plan and direct for SAMmy's. And lessons to plan and write.
We're planning our Yellowstone trip - which I'm really looking forward to.
My side of the family is planning a reunion in Milwaukee with my siblings and their families and my mom and uncle's family.
And we're hoping to carve out time for another girl's week - like we did last year.
That's a lot of vacationing!
I think I'll just be perpetually packing, repacking, and doing laundry...
It is kind of fun to be turning my thoughts toward the warmer months right now, though...
The snow is coming down outside my window - we're certainly having a cold, snowy winter!

Sounds great!
It is shocking how early those summer plans come on. I found myself looking up dates for the older kids' camps yesterday. The hubby and I are planning a cruise.
Heck we even know the destination of our 2012 vacation! Crazy!
Wow....that is one busy summer ahead of you. I can't even plan more than a month in advance right now ;)
I am so jealous of your snow... we have cold wet cold wet cold rainy days.. blick! cold and wet should always equal snow... ;)
You forgot to mention your trip to the PNW??! ha ha!! =)
I have not put ONE thing on my calendar yet... scared to... our tax return is already spent on dental ... **sick and wrong** ... we will have to see what bargain trip we can come up with?!! the kids really want to go to San Diego... Lego land, Sea World and the zoo... we shall see... I hate money!! of course we will camp too... around soccer... I love that soccer is so good for my little girl... but it consumes our schedule 9 months out of the year! sheesh!
have a great weekend!
