Project 52: Self-Portrait #16

This is my first stab at anything from a photography blog. I got hooked up with Mommytography because a member commented on my blog this past week. They have a project where you take a picture every day. You can post every day, or once a week. I'm going to try once a week. (I'll join on Saturday, when I can post my pics from this week.) But, they also have what they call "workshops" and "challenges" and things that help you get out there and learn how to use your camera. That's what I need. I have a DSLR I got a while ago from hubby. I have no clue how to use all the settings, but I really want to learn...without having to take a class. I bought "How to use a DSLR camera for Dummies". Really. But, it's pretty dry. You have to really get out there and do it. I got some practice on my summer vacation last year at Glacier. I'm hoping taking a pic a day will help me expand my photography horizons. It already has. I just needed a little push.

This is my attempt at a self-portrait. Not as easy as you might think.

Cookies anyone?

I LOVE it! Great self portrait!

I agree, I think the best way to learn is to just get out there and play around with it. I started Project 365 for the same reason. Can't wait to see more of your pictures! :)
