Wow! I haven't played this Sunday game for a Looooonnnnggg time! But Keely is at it again, so click here if you want to play along!
The rules are easy - just answer the questions and we'll all learn a little bit more about each other! It's what all the cool kids are doin' on Sundays nowadays!!!
1. what's something you've eaten and liked, but didn't think you would?
Artichoke dip as an appetizer - spread on ciabatta or pita chips...it was yummy, though
2. plastic surgery..yay or nay?
I used to dream that if somebody else was paying for it...maybe a tummy tuck and a butt lift...
But now that I'm aging...ah - I've earned every little sag and wrinkle. I'm kind of over my fear of imperfection (I've "perfected" the whole "imperfection" thing...which makes me kind of perfect in my own right, don't you think?) lol
I'm okay with being older and imperfect. I've made peace with it. I'll save the plastic surgery for the rich and gorgeous. :)
3. 2 things you love about spring are.....?
Please keep the snow away (we just got some yesterday, but it melted) and give me sunshine and warm weather...
Warm weather clothes...love it...capris, flip flops, sunglasses...it's the wardrobe...love it!
4. when's the last time you went on a picnic?
Well, considering we got snow yesterday...it's been a while...months and months and months and months...you get the picture, right?
But, last summer I can guarantee you I had more than my fair share of picnics. We do boat picnics, where we pack a picnic lunch while boating, and then dock the boat somewhere and eat on shore. We also picnic while camping often - did that lots last year.
Sometimes on date nights, I'll pack a picnic dinner (subs, or I'll make burritos and wrap them in foil) and make Mike drive me out to a park that overlooks the St. Croix Valley where we live and we'll sit on a park bench and eat our dinner.
Sometimes I'll do that as a surprise dinner on a weekday when things have been a little too stressful in my man's world. I figure men who have stressful jobs need clever wives to make them relax, or they never will. We need to plan things to make the most out of the little time our hubbies have with us, or else the time just gets sucked up by yard chores and news programs and other emergencies when there are other more relaxed things to be enjoyed on beautiful weekday evenings. That can't be done every evening, obviously - or things would never get done...but sometimes I can get away with it if I'm smart about it! ;)
5. what's your favorite app?
Oh, I'm appless. :)
6. who does the grocery shopping in your house?
The same one who does the cooking and cleaning. (That would be me...)
7. would you rather take a spin class or zumba?
Oh, Zumba looks fun, doesn't it? I was going to try one of those classes when we belonged to the YMCA, but Mike & I just quit and joined Snap Fitness - no classes, just machines and weights. But, Zumba does look like a blast!
8. how often do you go out to dinner?
Ha! I was just thinking about this question this week! I was SO NAUGHTY this week! Wednesday I went out with my friend Melissa for lunch (Raspberry Turkey sandwich on Whole Grain bread at Hudson Bagel Shop...my fave!) and then Friday night Mike and I went out for a fish fry with our friends Ken & Shelly and then Saturday we took the kids out for a movie and pizza! How bad is THAT???? Yikes! In one week!!! That's not typical...but I do go out to eat pretty regular...several times a month...once a week...
***
Ha! Before I finished this post, a person I don't know called me and asked me to attend a surprise party for my friend Elin. Tonight. At a restaurant. Isn't that funny??? So, I guess I go out to dinner a lot. Probably too much. Maybe I should rectify that.
But, in the past two weeks I have fasted for 2 days each week for religious reasons. And, I really don't eat much because I don't have much of an appetite much of the time. And I never finish my meal at the restaurants...doesn't that count for something????
But I do think it's funny that I got that phonecall while I was typing that answer about restaurants....
Bwahahahahahaha

Ha! Too funny. You are so busted! Well, just make a homemade dinner every night this week and that will make up for it. :-)
And yes, I would love to take my little family on a picnic if the temp would get above 50 degrees around here!
