5QF

Another warm, lovely day! I guess I'll have to be outside working on those flower beds again! Today I thought I'd participate in Five Question Friday...haven't done that in a long while and it's always a fun game to play. If you want to play along, click on the icon below and it will take you to Mama M.'s where you'll get instructions and the five questions (which are the same 5 questions I'm answering, so I'll bet you can figure it out).

Oh - and please leave a comment...love those comments! Even if you're playing along at your blog site...I love to read what your answers are in my comments!

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
I would be more organized. And I would love to clean. Like, that would be my PASSION. I would wake up, ready to do all my housework...and whistle while I work. It would be a joy, joy, joy! I don't loathe housework or anything...well, except for cleaning the bathrooms...but I don't love it, either. I'd love to love it. My husband would love me to love it, too.
He's a neat freak.

2. Write about a time when you got lost.
Do you have an hour?
Like, I get lost all the time.
My friend Cathy lives in Eau Claire - where I used to live - 60 miles away. But, when I first moved here and I'd be traveling, I'd still call her and ask if she could direct me places. My saying used to be "God is my co-pilot. Cathy is my GPS."
Seriously. I can even get to a place, and then when I leave, I'll turn the wrong way out of the parking lot. It's like a navigational dyslexia.
The worst part is I used to think I was GOOD at directions.
But a friend had a tough-love conversation with me.
I think it was Cathy?
Not sure.
But whoever it was...she was right.
It's freeing to just admit it.
Ahhhh...

3. Camping or 5 star hotel?
With whole family? Camping. We have SO. MUCH. FUN.

With just Mike? 5 Star Hotel. (Mike would still say "Camping," however.)

With girlfriends? Definitely 5 Star Hotel!!!!

4. Have you donated blood?
Yes, but since I was diagnosed with MS last year, I quit because the injections I give myself 3x/week sometimes give me a fever, so I never know if I'll be turned down...and, I figure if they make ME that sick, what is it doing to my blood? The interferon I take is the same med they give to cancer patients. The Red Cross people have looked it up and it's not a med they have on their list that they can't accept, but I still don't feel comfortable donating...and sometimes from the MS I feel dizzy and almost pass out normally - I'm afraid I would...and I would be embarrassed. I donated for years and years before, though. I think it's a great cause!

5. Do you have a budget or do you 'fly by' most months?
Oh, my hubby is Mr. Organized and Mr. Planner all rolled up into one man! I'm very fortunate. I get a set amount a month for groceries and for spending and he takes care of the bills. We have a Christmas fund, a vacation fund, and countless other funds. We never spend what we don't have. Like I said - I'm VERY fortunate! He's super good with money and with budgeting. We're both savers, I guess...that works in our favor, too. But, he's the budgeter. He gets us where we need to be. Whew!

So, what are your answers? I'm anxious to know!

I would love to have the organizational thing down! I do like to clean if there's no one right behind me messing things up... like dogs, kids and a husband... I think retirement will be nice. I plan to clean then!

Your husband sounds so much like me...no wonder you and I are good friends! I could clean for you and you could talk for me....

Once upon a time I used to be very unorganized and then I moved and decided that I was going to have a place for everything and everything HAD to have a place! Since then I have been more organized than ever before.....throw away the junk you don't use or need!!!
Dewayne was a neat freak too and I LOVED it cause he would help so much with cleaning the house....now I have to do it alone and I am a total slacker!! By the time I get home from work and attempt to make dinner I don't have the umph to do anything else :( I am hoping all that changes when I move stateside and am not working 12 hour days!
