Ugh! I hate this!
No, it's not the flu (although I do feel a sore throat coming on...thanks to Aaron and his germs!)...
As of yesterday afternoon, I have not been able to use the internet.
I can receive emails just fine.
Explorer just keeps kicking me off.
Ugh!
I haven't had a virus in YEARS!
I ran a virus scan, and it came up with two of those buggers!
It just bugs me...who would be so mean as to put those things on the internet in the first place????
Anyhow, at least my Word files are intact, so all my writing is safe (I think).
So, today I'm going to buy a flash drive to back up all my files, just in case they transfer with a virus in tact...I don't want them infecting my other backup files (which I haven't updated in a few months. Oops.)
So, if I'm absent for a while, you know why.
I'm using Mike's computer right now...getting my "fix". lol
I wanted to let you know what's up, in the event I'm not around.
Hopefully, I can get my laptop into the shop soon.
I wish the computer fairies would just come and wave their magic wand and make it all better.
Computer viruses are so frustrating, aren't they?
The worst part is that somebody put it out there in the first place - with the intention of wrecking other people's stuff. That's so MEAN! (I realize that comment sounds terribly naive and stupid, but it's the truth!)
Anyhow, enough of my ranting. Today I've got a full day of meetings. I have my usual Thursday Girls (I meet with Bonnie and Robbin every Thursday of my life, practically, to have two hours of coffee time where we discuss our deepest secrets & struggles and pray for each other. It's how I keep my sanity most of the time!) this morning, and then I meet with my friend Jocelyn for coffee to discuss some leadership stuff for SAMmy's and then we meet with the whole leadership team of SAMmy's-Hudson to make our special place favors for our Christmas tea next week. I'm so excited to show you what they look like! I saw some necklaces Maura was making on her Fostering Awareness website and we're going to make those - but on red and green cords, so they'll be ornaments instead of necklaces. I'm so grateful I saw her idea! I didn't know what we were going to do before then and I was in a time crunch! (Thanks, Maura!)
Well, with any luck I won't be gone long...if I am don't forget about me! And, have a great time planning for Christmas...I'll catch up when I can! (I miss you all already!)

I hope those computer fairies arrive soon.
YUCK! Good luck! I hope you get back on your mouse feet quickly!
Stupid VIRUS!!!! That is the reason I have a MAC...they don't get virus's. The guy at the store told me that if I ever get a virus I could bring my computer in and he would give me a new one right there on the spot!!!
I miss you already too!!! Have fun today!!!
Sorry to hear about your computer :( I hope it gets fixed soon!
I love that you get together with friends every Thursday...sounds like a wonderful tradition!
Hope the geek squad computer fairies can help you out soon! lucky me I am married to one... I would be techy lost without him!! and I am lazy about learning it all with him here too... ;) love hate thing! ;) he he! anyway... I hope it gets all sorted out soon! must go see those necklaces! Have a great weekend!!
I was "stealing' a few minutes at work the other day to download some pictures for the holiday club that I helped with last week, and when down loading a Christmas tree, all the alarms started going off, I had picked up a huge virus, and we are on a network, so my "crime" was discovered.......... luckily I did not touch anything so not too much damage was done.
