Time For A Commercial Break...

I am going to rave about another movie.

I know.

But this one isn't because I'm doing a giveaway...okay????

Have you ever heard of DC Talk? Well, they're a Christian rock band and they wrote this great book called "Jesus Freaks" with all these short stories about people who were martyred for their faith in Christ.

Okay, that may sound like a bummer of a book - people dying for their faith, but it's not...it's a great book! Nowadays, it's really  hard to inspire people to stand up for what they believe in...or even get them to peg down WHAT they believe in! Take it from me - I'm in the ministry! And what really surprised me is how interested my kids were in the book and how devoted these people were in fighting for what they believed in! We don't give kids enough credit. I see kids as young as 9 and 10 becoming really interested in truth and faith and God and integrity...and going to great lengths to live it out our faith and live what we believe. If God is real, then we should be willing to stand up for Him, right?

Anyhow, I just heard about this new movie called Jesus Freaks - and it really has nothing to do with the book - except the name. It's a Christian documentary produced by Circle of Beliefs who partnered with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). It is aimed at Christians of all ages, but is about the life-changing impact faith is having among young people throughout the world.
