Project 365/127-133

I'm sorry to my fellow Project 365er's. I would have updated my Project on Friday, but Blogger was being a bugger and wasn't granting access to many people in this area and I was locked out. It looks like they messed with my password, too...what's a girl to do?

I had weekend guests, too...so, I didn't have a lot of time to mess with blogging on Saturday or Sunday. I went to a Twins game (we lost...but it was fun!) and got some color because it was finally sunny (the color being RED, not BROWN...sigh). All in all, a great weekend with out of town family (MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL and niece), but I'm ready to collapse with exhaustion!

Here are my pics from the past week. I had lots of fun taking them! I'm learning that for every one good shot, there are ten average or WAY BELOW AVERAGE shots to delete!

Here goes:
Day 127: We love orioles, but they're hard to lure into our yard. We have little containers of grape jelly (they are supposed to love that!) and an oriole feeder with the orange liquid that they are supposed to love. The thing they love the most this year is this special oriole suet we bought. (I know this pic is of an oriole on the container of grape jelly, but he only hopped on there to get to the suet, where he pecked for a good half hour!)

Here's the same picture, only cropped:

Day 128: We had a challenge to get a picture of drops of water. I misunderstood. (I do that a lot...it's a blonde thing...that and the fact that I have no clue what I'm doing!) I was late in putting this up, anyhow, so it didn't matter! The challenge was for drops of water being dropped INTO water. Oh..... Well...this is a pretty pic of drops of water, don't you think? :) The next challenge - for next Sunday - is to get a pic of somebody showing pride. That certainly WILL be a challenge...I haven't been taking pictures of people. That will be a stretch...but I intend to try. Really. Nature shots have been my comfort zone...time to be a big girl and get out into the world of people...

Day 129: Wisconsin springs come late...and this year has been REALLY LATE!!! So, the sight of my crabapple tree flowering has been such a welcome sight! I had to sneak a picture of it in this week's line-up. It brought me such great joy this week!

Day 130: I liked the shadow our sconce cast on our garage in the late hours of the day this week. The days are getting longer! Summer is on its way!

Day 131: I tried to play with the lighting, and the settings on my camera keeping the branches of this tree in focus in the foreground with the sun in the background and keeping the trees in the background blurred.

Day 132: I was walking home after a taking a walk with my camera and shooting photos, when I saw this heart in the bark of the tree in my back yard! I had never noticed it before. Isn't this neat? Truly photo worthy, I think!

Day 133: I have a thing for railroad tracks - they fascinate me! These are near my house, so I know when the trains go through (so I wasn't in danger when I took these photos). I have many more, and I really tried to narrow it down to one for today, but I just couldn't! (You're lucky I narrowed it down to two! I have SO MANY really cool shots! I played around with developing techniques and everything!) Anyhow...here are two that I picked to show you...maybe a different view of the tracks than you're used to...from WAY DOWN ON THE GROUND!

That was fun! See you next week with more pictures! I'm hoping to see some pride before then to capture!

I am shy about using my camera in front of people... I would love to photograph fun people I see.. but I feel so guilty!! ha ha! Pride can come in animals you know... just sayin... like my kitty full of pride when she has a bird in her mouth!! BAD kitty! sigh... just sayin... Pride after retrieving a ball... ?? or something?? ha ha! Love that you are doing this! I will shut up now... ;)
