This is my second week in Mommytography's 365 Project, and I must say I am looking at my world a little bit differently! It's been so fun! What a great project!
Day 120: I was originally trying to take a picture of a finch, high up in a tree. I had my 250mm lens on my camera, and was fixed on a branch waaaaay up there. I heard something off to my right, and when I panned over - there on a branch almost right NEXT TO ME was this chickadee!
Day 121: After many days of rain, there was a short break. I jumped in my car and raced to the riverfront. It started to sprinkle, but I managed to open the window of my car and catch this beautiful photo from the front seat, with the window rolled down.
Day 122: Another rain shot.
Day 123: I love the old fashioned touches in Historic Downtown Hudson, like these lampposts.
Day 124: It's hard to pick out, but there's a train in the background, above the water. It was dusk and the lighting was funky. I have this in color, too, but I like this antique look with the old brick railway house in the foreground.
Day 125: I have NO experience with water shots (who am I kidding? I have no experience with ANY KIND of shots!) and this was an exciting shot that was captured because of a challenge that was posed on the Mommytography website for next week. Oh well, I'll have to find another water shot for next week...I couldn't wait to show you how this turned out!!! Isn't it neat???!!!
Day 126: This is why I think I'll get another water shot. I took this picture of morning dew early today, before the kids got on the bus. Isn't it cool?
Well, those are my shots for the week. Not only has this project gotten me to look at things differently, it has gotten me out of the house. I'm taking more walks. I'm going more places. Bridgette really likes to take pictures, and she's coming along with me. It's a fun thing we're doing together.
There's a pretty tree with white flowers in town that I have thought was really pretty for a few weeks now. Last night, Bridge and I pulled up to this person's house, got out and started snapping pictures. If this person would have come out of their house, they would have thought we were crazy! They would have thought, "Who are these crazy chicks in my yard taking pictures of my tree?"
Yeah, that's me. Crazy picture lady. I needed a new title, anyhow.

Hi, Pennie (or, Crazy Picture Lady!),
Loved your shots this past week. Awesome on that chickadee. I caught a shot of a cedar waxwing the same way, but I almost deleted it without knowing what it was. Love the dew shot, too.
