Blogger had some troubles the past few days...
which may be why you haven't been able to comment on my blog
and Blogger totally erased my past few posts...
so I'll update you on what you may have missed
and what I'm up to now.
I am missing my friend Jocelyn who is moving
I had a picture of us
But I'm pressed for time right now
So I'm not going to repost it.
But, our friend Heather made a mix of songs on CD and gave them to us.
Sigh.

I was listening to them today while running errands.

There went my mascara!
And, right before I saw a Garage Sale sign!!!
Well, I've never been one to turn down a good garage sale so early in the season...especially when I need to distract myself from falling apart!
So, I looked at myself in the rear view mirror and ignored the fact that I looked like crud. I wiped my eyes and headed for the garage sale.
Oh - the sign said "Moving Sale!" Great! Those are ALWAYS great!
Oh...except it was mostly baby clothes and maternity clothes.
I'm WAYYYYY past that!
There was a For Sale sign in the front. SOLD.
And who was in the garage?
My friend Megan.
I hadn't heard from her in a while.
Don't tell me.
Another friend is moving?
We talked for a while and I told her about Jocelyn moving to another state.
Megan is moving to another state...but only over the bridge...to Minnesota.
Not far...only about 45 minutes or an hour away.
Wow!
I'm actually happy for her, because her husband bought a business and it seems like a really good thing for their growing family.
And she really won't be far.
But, Jocelyn????
She will be far...
I talked to her today on her cell as she was picking up the Uhaul truck.
Sigh.
Saying good-bye is hard.

On a happier note, my in-laws are coming for the weekend.
And my BIL and SIL and their daughter are coming tomorrow for the day.
We're surprising my BIL with a birthday celebration.
So, I hope to get all of this cleaning and cooking done.
Do you think if I keep blogging, the house will clean itself?
I didn't think so.
But, it would be nice, wouldn't it?
Have a great weekend! I have to post my 365 pics later this weekend! I have the lovliest pic of a dandelion I have to show you...I never thought of them as pretty...but this one is! Seriously!

Saying goodbye to your friends truly can be extremely hard. However, maybe this is the time that you need to start praying for them the most? Can you imagine moving to a new town and starting all over with new friends, new schools, new church ... to me it sounds overwhelming. Mostly overwhelming because I made that move two-and-a-half years ago and I have yet to find those new friends. It's a difficult journey to STILL be on. So I encourage you to keep her in prayer as I am surrounding YOU in prayer.

Hi Pennie, just catching up on all your posts, it has been weeks, looks like you have been really busy, I had my "White Elephant Tea" last Saturday, I cannot remember laughing so much in ages, thanks for the idea and sharing.
I just can't Eeyores voice out of my head... that is the ho hum feeling I get when I think of friends moving... so you see... make a silly joke with yourself in an Eeyore voice and you will feel better... "I guess I will still have email"... not working? oh... never mind! =) It is hard to see folks go in our lives... b/c it always changes things... but a good friend will be a good friend from any State!! =)
