Just Another Manic Monday...

Yes, folks - another manic Monday...and I'm going to give you the rundown... :)

This morning I was up bright and early to get the kiddies off to school. Their bus comes at 6:45, so it's up at 5am for this Mama! I took a Unisom last night, because I haven't been sleeping so well. I thought I'd be groggy this morning, but not so - I was spry and ready to rock n' roll!

I looked in the mirror after breakfast and I saw what looked like acne from the corners of my mouth down to the bottom of my chin - on both sides! The first thing I thought was that it had to be a reaction to my MS medication. Never mind that I haven't had a shot since Friday evening...that stuff floats around my body and I get it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night! Okay, I am a little hormonal and that could be it - but really? I hear some women get acne in their 40's. I had about 20 or 30 possible scenarios spinning around in my head. Totally freaking out. So, just in case, I took a Benedryl (man, that makes a person sleepy!) and put on a bunch of Clearasil (pretty soon, I'm sure I'll start to peel like snake skin!). I still don't know what it is, but it's not as pronounced as it was this morning...

I had to be at the Middle School at 9 to help set up the Scholastic Book fair (whether I had a lumpy face or not!). The book fair is a pretty big deal at the Middle School, let me tell you! Then, I worked the first shift this morning...and can I say that Scholastic Book Fairs aren't what they used to be!!! I helped out when the kids were in Elementary - that's the last time I helped check people out. Back then, we had a calculator and a credit card machine that was manual with actual carbon paper! (This wasn't THAT long ago - really!) This year, we had a scanner to scan the bar codes and an actual small computer screen that hooked up to the cash box! I had to be trained to use it! Wowza! Scholastic - you've come a long way, Baby!!!

Then, I went to the store to pick up some extra ingredients I needed to make Mike some stuff he needs to take on his long elk hunting trip. I'm making him 12 dozen cookies (two different kinds) and a pan of lasagna. All the guys bring stuff their wives make. When I got home, I remembered that I had forgotten to pick up WATER CHESTNUTS for the umpteenth time for a chicken cashew casserole I need to make tonight. I need to make it tonight because I need to let it sit overnight and I want to have it for dinner tomorrow. I have forgotten water chestnuts three days in a row now. ARRGGGHHHH!

Bridgette and her friend Jill are downstairs trying to make a web show like iCarly. Not quite the caliber of iCarly...but, whatever... :)

Well, I better get back to my cookie baking if I'm ever going to finish these. Happy Monday!

I hate all this acne I get now! I didn't get this much acne when I was a teenager! I used to love when Scholastic would come to our school. I have two books they still owe me!
