Words For Wednesday

I couldn't actually pull off a Wordless Wednesday today...lol. But, what can I say? Apparently...plenty!!!!
Actually, it's going to be short but sweet today...I think. I always begin that way and crank out a decent sized post. But I really mean it today. I have two hours before Michelle shows up on my doorstep. We're heading to Colfax - a town about two hours away. I have a speaking engagement this evening. Michelle is part of my cheering section. I have a sister (Deanna) who is heading up to Eau Claire to visit my mom, and she's planning on making an appearance tonight, too. I'm really happy about that. I don't think she's ever heard me speak before. Don't get me wrong...she's heard me RAMBLE and CARRY ON plenty!!!! (She can vouch for that, I'm sure!) She's just never made it to one of my speaking engagements. My sister Lynda did, about six or seven years ago. And, Michelle's heard me speak so much, she is totally unimpressed! She's been in SAMmy's for about three years now, plus retreats and whatnot - I'll bet she's heard me speak almost 100 times! So, when I say she's heard me speak, she's REALLY heard me speak!!!!
So, truly this is "Words for Wednesday" day.
And, of course, it's "Everything That Can Happen, Will" day. I've written my speech, but haven't gone through it for timing yet (nothing like waiting until the last minute)...because I figured I'd do that THIS MORNING. I've done this a million times. I know what I'm going to say - no big deal. I just need to figure out timing, like I said. So...I go to print out my outline - and our internet's down!!!! WHAT?! We have a wireless printer - so I NEED internet to print anything. So, I'm sweating bullets. (Because there's pages and pages of notes - this is a 45 minute talk - which may not seem like a lot, but it is...read this post once and see how long it takes you - not long - a couple minutes, tops.) I know, I can write it LONG HAND, but I have other things to do because remember - I spent yesterday in bed with a fever after having my shot...I have to get my stuff done!

Yikes!

But, things worked out, like they always do...as you probably guessed, because I've posted this Wordy Wed. post. I was all set to tell you all about my upcoming 25 year high school reunion that I have to ditch, but I'll save that for another day...

I have to go time that speech out and vacuum and fold laundry before Michelle shows up. I hope your Wednesday is full of lots of fun! I love speaking engagements - they are counted as one of my top favorite things to do - so you can bet I'll be having fun tonight!
