Long Time, No See

Well, my internet was down for a little while...and then Blogger was unavailable for parts of the US - my parts, that is...
so it's been a while.
I've missed you!!!

I feel like we haven't "chatted" in a LONG time! Since we've last talked I've gotten my son's old room cleaned out...and let me tell you that was a CHORE! We've only been in this house for four years, but that boy had all sorts of junk in his room! It's a good thing I did clean it out, though (we moved him to his newly built room in the basement) because he had been telling us what a piece of junk his camera was. It's older, but it's really fine. Come to find out, his camera was MIA...his camera case was empty and he was just saying his camera was junk because he lost his camera. Well, it was Supermom to the rescue. I found his camera jammed behind an open backed wardrobe he had his clothes in. He must have shoved his camera in between his t-shirts that were neatly stacked on the shelf in his wardrobe (MY teenage boy is NEVER messy...he claims he never put his camera in THERE...must have been the BOOGEYMAN???) and it fell behind the wardrobe and got jammed between it and the wall. I found it amongst all the other stuff accumulating in a pile there...

Anyhow, I finished cleaning his room yesterday. I also bought all the bedding and pillows for the new bed Mike and I are getting for what will now be our NEW GUEST ROOM (yeah!) Saturday. I did that all yesterday. Did you catch that? Yesterday! My shot day! How did I manage that do you ask? Well, here's the blonde stories to end all blonde stories. My nurse said she was going to be telling this all week. I usually take Ibuprofen before my shot, because it works better than Tylenol on the high fever I get with it. I happened to glance at the expiration date on my bottle of Ibuprofen as I went to take it. Are you ready for this? 2007! I had to laugh - no wonder I haven't gotten any relief! I reached for our OTHER bottle of Ibuprofen, and checked the date just to be safe...2006! Now, before this MS we were a family that rarely got sick. Ever. Obviously. So, I popped a few Tylenol (from our fairly new bottle of Tylenol...I DID check - it was a 2011 date) and after my shot headed to Target to purchase the bedding and a bottle of Ibuprofen. My symptoms were fairly mild!!! No killer chills or fever, for sure! I did have the fever, yes...but controllable with the Ibuprofen...just had to keep up the dosages, as directed - I am tough and can handle a fever - no problem! I sorted through and bagged up 8 bags of stuff for goodwill and vaccuumed and had a good old time getting that room into shape. Mike came hope and spackled the walls and we matched paint.

The downside? Today I am dragging. With MS, you are not supposed to play superwoman. You are supposed to "conserve your energy." (I can hear my physical therapist/friend Heather who reads my blog now...yes, Heather, I did hear you when I was walking in slow-mo last night and whimpering...but you should see all I got done! No, dear, there is no hope for me...) Today, after the kids got off to school (their last week!) I went back to bed and slept until 9:45 (a first!) and now that it's noon, I'm finally moving. I'm going to try to get these bags to Goodwill. And get a dinner together for tonight. Those are my only goals.

But, you should see that room! When we get it painted and put together - after we buy a bed this weekend, I'll post a picture...finally - a guest room in this house! The 21st we're going to get to use it when my friend Amy comes to visit, too! Yippee!

Well, I'm glad Blogger is working. (When I press "Publish Post" we'll SEE if it's really working.) It was a bummer - I couldn't even COMMENT on your blogs - I'd type out a long comment and then go to comment and it would say something like "Sorry, but Blogger is unavailable to you right now." Ugh! It was like I was grounded from you!

So, I'm glad I'm not grounded anymore! I'll be good, and hopefully not be grounded again anytime soon! :) Happy day!

Blogger was doing the same to me on Sunday!
For my toothache, I was trying to take tylenol 3 that had expired 3 years ago! No wonder it didn't work!
Isn't if funny how things end up where nobody every puts them??!!

My tooth has been taken care of, so I am no longer in pain! Thank God!
I really don't think the messages were a coincidence either! :)

So glad you're not grounded anymore, it's great to have you back.

I hate putting my hand behind the boy's dressers, I never know what I'm going to find...maybe some petrified poop!

Okay Superwoman, take it easy! Glad you figured out your pill problem!

glad your back...lots of people couldn't comment, it was weird!

Okay I am going to check my medicine's expiration dates right now!!! I am glad that the new stuff did its job...really I can't believe that it does actually lose potency.

I remember my Mom resting a lot. I pray for a cure everyday!

I'm so glad you're not "grounded" any longer! ;-)
That is funny about your sons camera. My mom actually just cleaned out and organized my brothers room, too. BIG chore!
I'll be praying for you, Pennie as you learn to deal with the MS (i.e. conserving energy). My grandfather had MS for over 35 years so I am familiar with it.
Oh, the garage sale post is a GREAT idea! I was actually thinking of posting my finds. And, yes, you're right- because I have a little one I got more stuff than if I didn't. :)
If you ever host a blog hop for that I will enter my post. I might post it soon but I will participate if you hold one in July. Also, I'll probably have gone to more garage sales by then! Ha!

You really are superwoman! I need to get to our boys' room and help them organize it out before our garage sale next month, yet the motivation to do it is not even a little bit there (can you say, "biggest pile of junk in the world?!" That's what's in their room).

Praying that your energy returns!
