Last night we had nasty storms. Tornado watch, thunderstorm watch. Good night to stay inside and eat jelly beans. Yes, jelly beans. (Mike brought out his Father's Day jelly beans...Jelly Bellies...our family are jelly bean freaks!) We also saw "The Book of Eli" with Denzel Washington on DVD. Good flick! It's rated R because it's pretty violent in places - some gruesome fight scenes - but it's a pretty good movie!
Tonight Shelly - my partner-in-crime friend is
subjecting her family to dinner at our house bringing her family to our house for dinner. Mike is making his famous fish fry with some of the sunnies and blue gills we caught last weekend and froze (I tell you - he makes a MEAN fish fry!). Bridgette whipped up a great fruit salad...she's been balling melon and chopping strawberries and washing grapes and...um, opening Dole fruit salad cans (!) . :) I've been making Key Lime Blueberry cheesecake and I bought some bread. Shelly's bringing coleslaw and lettuce salad, so we're good! And, I cleaned yesterday - and Shelly's a friend that I don't have to be manic about my house with. Whew! So, tonight we have company! Yeah! I hope it's nice out, because I'd love to have a bonfire...and I even have the fixin's for s'mores (I replaced the marshmallows I've been munching on...). Our daughters are good friends and her boys are such fun! I'm sure Aaron will appreciate having somebody to play the Wii with... I'm just excited to have company...can you tell? We had company last weekend - I love entertaining! And, summer is the best entertaining season, if you ask me.
Now, if we can just keep those storms away so we can light a bonfire...
Hope you have a great Saturday!

have a great time! I am not a huge fish fan... but all this talk about fish fry makes me want to hop a plane and come over for the next one!! =)
Sounds like you guys had a great night planned. I look forward to hearing how it turned out.
Thanks for your words of encouragement on my blog. I really cherish our friendship. You were right...I love to read your blog and I hate to read when you are down and even the things that you might not think are worth talking about I love to read about :o)
I have just been in a rut lately and I am having a hard time getting used to the whole divorce thing. Being alone is really taking its toll on me but I can't write it on my blog because I don't want Dewayne to be able to read about my feelings. He has access to my blog and there are certain things I don't want him to know.
Maybe I need to just write and not care if he reads it or not. I have no clue if he is still reading or not. He keeps tabs on me on facebook and brings up all kinds of things from there. We are not on bad terms but things are really difficult between us. We are angry and confused and not really friends at the moment. We try to be friendly when we talk but it usually ends in an argument. It's sad but we can't seem to go more than a few days without arguing...kinda like our marriage!!
Phew....I am writing a book here in your comment section LOL!
I needed to get that off my chest and I wanted to tell you :o) Thanks for being there for me and all the encouraging words. You have no idea how much typed out words have meant :o)
Have a great Sunday!!!
