I haven't blogged in a few days, so I thought I'd throw some words out into Bloggy Land so you know I am still out here...don't forget about me!
I woke up at 1:00 this morning with a start. I honestly heard an electronic "BEEP!" I do that once in a while...it must be in my dreams or something - but it's loud enough to wake me up - to where I'm sitting up in bed. And it's ALWAYS EXACTLY at an even time - like 1:00am or 3:00am...EXACTLY. Weird, huh? Well, it was 1:00AM this morning...I checked the clock. Twice. I crept out of bed, so as not to wake Mike. I wanted to find my purse and make sure my phone wasn't beeping because of low battery or something. I did find my phone (Mike's is always plugged in, because he's the responsible one of the family...so I knew it wasn't his...), and although it wasn't low battery, I turned the phone off so that it wouldn't all of a sudden drain and start beeping. (Don't ask - I'm sure it was middle-of-the-night irrational thinking.) Anyhow...this is where it gets really weird. I crept back to our bedroom and when I laid down...it was 3:00AM! I surely was NOT looking for my purse for TWO HOURS!!! I have no idea what went on. No idea! It totally freaked me out.
I know the past two days, because of the MS, I've been a little foggy brained and confused...but I know I checked the clock TWICE and it was 1:00AM before I went out the bedroom. I checked for my purse in TWO PLACES. Our house is not big. I went into the kitchen, and the laundry room...which is off the kitchen. And my purse was in the laundry room. That's it. How weird is that????
Scary! Anyhow, whenever I wake up because of an undetermined loud electronic "BEEP" (yes, it happens sometimes...does that ever happen to anyone else?) I just take it that God really wanted me up for some reason, so I pray myself back to sleep. I figure God wanted me to pray for somebody, so I pray for whomever comes to mind first. Then the next person, and so on and so forth....on and on until I fall asleep.
So...how's this for a weird post? It was a weird night!
On a totally different note...for those of you who have been following me for a while, remember I had a giveaway last year? A book about prayer for children by Anthony DeStefano? Well, he just wrote another children's book called, "Little Star" - a Christmas book about the Nativity - and I don't think it's in stores yet, but he asked me to preview it, in exchange for one for my ministry and one to giveaway on my blog. Of course - who can pass up an offer like that? So, soon I'll be offering that as a giveaway!
Also, Warner Brothers contacted me about doing a Mother/Daughter movie night featuring a new DVD they're coming out with (that reminds me a lot of the type of movie similar to "Stand By Me" or if you remember the series "The Wonder Years") called Flipped, which is about first love back in the '50's or '60's...looks really cute. They will also supply me with a DVD for a giveaway. So - I'll be doing that later this month, I think!
So - look for those in upcoming weeks. Of course, if you help me promote those giveaways, you can increase your chances of winning.
Well, that's about all I have to blog about right now. I'm off to my Thursday Girls get together. Bonnie can't make it today, so it's just me and Robbin and our coffee! After that, I promised Shelly that we could get together - it's been over a week...we're due for some mischief! Let me know what you've been up to!

Michael has a watch that beeps on the hour. (so annoying) He keeps it downstairs but sometimes it wakes me up and its always right on the hour. I am a light sleeper anymore.
Super excited about all the giveaways coming up. The book sounds great! Can't wait to here more :)
That is really weird! 2 hours passed by? Sleep walking maybe? Sometimes I'll hear a loud bang and I wake up thinking someone is breaking into the house...but I think it's just in my dream! Scares me each time!
Weird! Every now and then I hear a beep and I finally tracked it down to the girls hair straightener. They had left it plugged in but it was off. Or Robb had an old watch once that beeped at a certain time in the night and it took us a long time to track down. Some alarm type thing.
Alien abduction??? Sometimes I wake up to a bang or the smell of smoke! This is why I think I'm going to die in a fire. You do know that cell phones beep when they become fully charged, don't you? I have been woke up by that before also.
Two hours unaccounted for?!?!?!?! Scary!!! Just reading that freaked me out....I can imagine how you felt experiencing that!!!

That is really strange, maybe you sat down while you were looking for your purse and "nodded" off. Be careful next time you wander around the house wake Michael...........
