The Wild Life

Things have been WILD since I've been back from vacation!

Yesterday morning, I was revelling in the fact that I had our mail on hold for two weeks - and our mail didn't come until 3pm. So, I didn't have to sort through bills and such until then. Ahhhh... I had MRI's scheduled at 10:45, but until then I could focus on getting my laundry done. I knew that Tuesday (today) I was signing Bridgette up for 8th grade at the Middle School. That got me to wondering...When was I supposed to be signing up Aaron for his first year at the High School? Hmmmm.... Almost everything is done electronically these days - and I know for the Middle School they didn't email much...you had to go to the Middle School website (I missed more than one deadline that way....sigh. The pains of going paperless.) So, I logged on to the high school website only to find that I had to sign Aaron up between 11 and 2 THAT DAY with the forms sent IN THE MAIL (that were arriving at our house at around 3pm with the mail I had on hold...) Gulp! There were also instructions to bring a printout of "your child's immunization record"...oh, and prior to registration your child must have their Tdp booster shot. I read this at 7am. And I had a 10:45 appointment at the hospital for a 3 hour MRI session. And, somehow I had to get Aaron his booster shot - and immunization record. And I had 15 minutes to get him to the high school to get him registered after that with forms that would arrive in the mail an hour after registration was over.

Gulp.

I hate days like that.

But, I DID manage to get it all done...along with several loads of laundry - not all of it, mind you, but quite a few - even hung a load on the line!

Yes, this IS a wild life some times! I much prefer the wild life I encountered the past two weeks at Glacier. When we first arrived there, we took a walk - only about a quarter mile. In that quarter mile, we saw a Mama moose and her two calves, and a grizzly and her cubs. Up close and personal, too. Neither paid too much attention to us...luckily!

And then, later in the week we saw more wildlife - mountain goats close enough to touch, big horned sheep, black  bears, mule deer (really close up...they walked right up to us!).

Aren't those some great wildlife photos? I'm still running on the fumes of my vacation. *love it!*
It's what got me through the "wild life" of yesterday. :)
Today, I've got Bridgette's registration, and I've got some writing assignments to do for a training session for SAMmy's I've got going on the 21st. Lucky for me, I'm sharing the load for that training session with an amazing leadership team.
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
Be blessed!

Hey Pennie,
Looks like you have had a "wild" summer, love the photos!! Met a mom to invite to the SAMmy's brunch which is Sept. 15th right? She is a new Christian and moving here from Colorado. Totally a Divine appointment, her daughter was in my VBS group and we sat next to each other at the family picnic on the last day. So cool..hope she can be a regular at SAMmy's, not sure since she is going back to school.
Take care and we will see you soon,
Jen

Yes your pictures are great!!! Can you crop them to make them closer without them going blurry?? =) Sorry about your wild day ~ glad it all worked itself out! ;)

The last two pictures are awesome, Pen! Great shots!

Now that it's over, can I tell you about a girl I went to high school with having to rescue a man from a bear attack a few weeks ago? It was in KY though, so you're ok ;)
