We woke up at 5am, like we do every morning.
Mike took his shower, and I rolled over and wished it were Saturday.
At 5:30 I made sure the kids were in their respective showers
and began the ritual of petting my dog (we call it her "massage").
I kissed Mike good-bye at 5:45 and he left for work.
It seemed like a regular morning.
We got the call that nobody wants to get at 5:55am.
Nobody is prepared to hear...
"There will be no school today due to inclement weather..."

Yes, this snow is so LAME! And it's not even gonna get above the 30s til next week! Time to move!
I bet the kids weren't *totally* disappointed. ;) But yeah I wasn't super happy to look outside this morning but then again this happens every single year in March. UGH At least it shouldn't stay TOO long, right!? And maybe that was the last hurrah! We can' hope. :)
This scared the bad stuff outta me!!! I am so glad it was just snow :)
We have had snow non-stop for the last two and a half weeks and I am so over it!!! Every day I hope the snow goes away and every day I see that there is more snow coming down :( Isn't it spring??? I think Iceland and Minnesota/Wisconsin must not have gotten the memo on spring!!!

My kids enjoyed their snow day yesterday, which is ironic because Mound almost NEVER has snow days (because they already have so many built-in off days that they can't afford snow days!!), so you know the weather must be icky for them to be home. The bummer is that we got the call at 7:00am, just as my oldest two were preparing to head out to the bus stop. No sleeping in for us!

Pennie....you scared me girl! Seriously! However....a snow day is March is pretty scary too! When is spring going to arrive?!
Not nice! I am totally over this weather also! They are calling for snow here Monday and Tuesday.
