So, she's sticking with the Meringue Berry Pie

I've made the pie elements (the crust, the sauce and I've washed the berries...you scoop the ice cream and assemble the pie before eating...this pic is from 2009), I need to wrap her bday gifts.
Her big gift is the waterpark party for her and her two besties Abby-la and Jilli-wa (she's Bridgie-la) - otherwise known as Abby and Jillian. Her "little gifts" show how well rounded of a person she is:
- Gerber Jack-knife to replace the one she lost at her grandpa's (she has saved money and thinks that she will use some of the birthday money her other grandmother is giving her to purchase a new one)
- Ear-muffs to use when she trap shoots with her dad and brother
- A cute bracelet
- Fingernail polish in her favorite colors (lime green and turquoise)
We're going out for burgers and then seeing a movie...I think she's choosing "The Adjustment Bureau." It's PG-13, so that's okay. Her brother wanted to see that one, too...so we're good with that.
Then, Saturday morning I'm picking up her friends and we're all going to the waterpark hotel for two days and one night of FUN!!! (And no sleep...) :)

Ha... and you say my cooking is making you fat!! Um... I think my food on today's post is healthier than yours... snicker snicker!! I have only made a meringue shell once in my life...and we added chocolate to the shell... yum! It was SO good!! I recently found some adorable baby ones that you pipe... I plan to make them this spring.. at some point?!! =) I cooked all day for our Pastor today... his wife's mom died... she has been in PA for weeks... they are picking her up tomorrow and I wanted to give them a hot meal for her first night home! now... I am tired... and we have a houseful coming for the weekend! **sigh** =) should be fun... ENJOY the Waterpark!! are you going to swim too?!! =)

I am working the whole weekend...nothing exciting :( I did get a chance to blog this morning though so that's a good thing :)
