Not Me Monday!

Well, Ladies - another Not Me Monday! I decided to try again this week - there's a prize at stake for October for those of us who participate in tattling on ourselves (or, not taking responsibility for all of the stupid things we've done all week...and, that sounds good to me!)

I did not wait until Monday to do a WHOLE WEEK'S WORTH of Bible studies in our "Connect, Grow, Go" workbook. You see, I wouldn't have done that - we were hosting our group last Tuesday!!! That would have been irresponsible!

And, I most certainly was not doing a deep-cleaning job ALL of Monday and Tuesday, so our group thought we lived in a spotless house all the time! Because, we do, let me tell 'ya! The counters are ALWAYS that uncluttered....now, where did I put the electric pencil sharpener???? Uh-hmmm. And, I most certainly was not feeling uncomfortable that all of the other couples' houses are much larger and better decorated. I did not feel compelled to tell them that the flower beds would have been weeded better if I had not been laid up all summer with health problems. That would have seemed pathetic.

And I did not forget to run the dishwasher before they arrived. I most certainly did not have to save face by giving our guests bottled water (isn't that "in"?) because, unbeknownst to them, all of our glasses were dirty and in the dishwasher.

I did not get another FABULOUS idea for my own business that is scaring me TO DEATH. I most definitely am not ready to challenge the laws of time and time managment and all that 24 hours can hold. And how much prayer I can pray.

And I DID NOT just put that into print. For the whole world to see. I most definitely DID NOT. Somebody is a blabbermouth and never knows where the line is. She is constantly saying things she ought not to say. Not me.

I thought you were supposed to ALWAYS serve bottled water, lol! You know, I was hemming and hawing about whether or not to go buy more glasses at wal-mart because we only have six that have not been broken. But now you have saved me money and solved my problem: bottled water. Why didn't I think of that?
I am glad I am not the only person who feels a bit weird when it seems everyone else's hallways are painted and houses are spotless.
