Never Were There Such Devoted Sisters

So, what did you do this past Labor Day weekend? I got to spend it with some of my FAVORITE girlies in the world! Bridgette (my daughter) and I drove to my childhood neighborhood where my sister lives and we had a GREAT weekend with my brothers-in-law, an old family friend and my sisters. This is not a usual occurance, as we live all over the map, but my sis Lori flew in for her high school reunion.

Both my bro's-in-law, and this family friend have been hanging around my family since I was about eight years old...so it really was like old times - and we were back in my old neighborhood - it was a BLAST!!!!

"The boys" were snapping pics of us none-too-shy hambones all day, but this photo is my fave - since it captures what we do best - laugh together!!!! The Brockman girls sure know how to have fun. I hope it's something we never grow out of. Today is Tuesday, and I'm still wallowing in the memories of the weekend. What a blast! :)

My dear SAMmy's Sisters, this is why it is such a compliment when I call you SAMmy's SISTERS - my sisters are near & dear to my heart. Just look at us! We may not always be glamorous - but if we're together, we are probably having fun. You're just lucky nobody had wax lips. We would have had pictures taken with them. I'm not kidding.

Pictured here are Deanna, Lynda, Lori and Pennie. I won't tell you which one is the oldest, because she might hit me. And then I would have to hit her. And that would start a "Gotcha last" war... and you just don't understand the implications of THAT. Really. I mean it.

Yep sisters are the best. I have 4 full 1 half and 1 adopted. My MOm had her 5 girls by the time she was 22. We are all very close. She died when I was 12. Horrible time. I'm the 2nd oldest, and the "go to sister" God blessed me so much with all of them.
