So, were you listening to 103.7 FM this morning at 10:45AM? WWIB? If so, you caught Cathy and I doing the SAMmy's Story monthly radio show - the last one!

Shelly, I heard you offered to bring your kids over to Cathy's and let them run around in the background for effect. How sweet of you! :)

Anyhow...the radio spot went SO WELL! Cathy and I dished about how all us SAMmy's Sisters need to participate in the SAMmy's Summer Challenge - do you have your three moms picked out? Pray for them, because you will get three invitations in the fall to invite them to your SAMmy's kick off brunch!

Also, I shared a special moment I had at the retreat last month. I looked around at the women who were there - so many whose lives were better for having been to SAMmy's - and it occurred to me that God had chosen to start this movement the Wednesday after the New Year in 2000 in my living room in Eau Claire. There were four other women there with me - having just moved there, I only knew one of them and she invited the rest. God told me that He was going to make SAMmy's bigger than I could ever imagine. (It already is, but there's more to be done...)
It reminds me of Ephesians 3:20:
"Now to him who is able to do immesurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us."

That power is like no power I've known elsewhere. Don't ever underestimate God or His power - especially when it flows from Him through us, as moms, into our families, communities and beyond.

We are mighty moms when we are filled with His power to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, self-controlled moms and wives who use our time and talents to make our families uniquely ours and pass on His promises from generation to generation as we mold the hearts and minds of the ones we've been entrusted with, by the grace of God.

May you realize how blessed you are today, and that you have power available to you, that will show up more and more the closer you get to Jesus.
