Can I Take Your Order?

Last night was Wednesday - date night! Mike and I went to Barkers for burgers, as usual.

When it came time to place my order, Mike smirked. He knows what's coming. It always does...

Me: "Okay, this is what I want."
Waitress: "I'm ready."
Me: "I want the Veggie Burger."
Waitress: "Okay."
Me: "Wait!"
(Pause)
Me: "I want it without the red onion, with extra tomato, and instead of it on a bun, I want it on your nine-grain bread - can you do that?"
Waitress: "Uh, sure. Would you like fries with that?"
Me: "No, potato chips. And a pickle on the side."

And then Mike has to throw in the smart aleck remark - "And instead of the veggie burger, she'd like turkey."

Ha ha, very funny. A woman just knows what she wants and how she wants it. Right, ladies?
