Another Monday? Already? Oh, dear! My weekend was spent holed up at the Embassy Suites (do you feel sorry for me? I didn't think so...) doing a writing project with my editor and a new edition to our team - my Director in one of my SAMmy's Chapters - Cathy (you've probably heard me talk about her...she's become a good friend and we do social things often). :) We worked really hard - in a day and a half we managed to crank out over 16 hours of work. We were brain-fried more than once and had to break for a while. But, we got SO MUCH DONE! It was amazing...and it felt so good when I got home at 10pm last night. Ahhhhh.... Sweet victory!
Anyhow - that was the majority of my weekend. That, and a little planting, Mike's company picnic, picking out bushes...the usual pre-summer stuff. What about you? Do tell!
Oh...and before I forget...here's my Project 365 for last week:
Day 148: Here I am, spying again. Have I mentioned I don't like posed shots? Oh - only a hundred times?Day 149: I love this shot. This looks tropical, doesn't it? It isn't; it's taken WAAAYYY up north - only about 50 or 60 miles south of Canada! Isn't it beautiful?
Day 150: I love taking interesting shots of things in my ordinary life as a housewife. I love shiny things. I have all stainless steel appliances. this teapot looks really neat reflected on my stovetop.
Day 151: I know the lighting is really funky on this picture, but this doe just stood in my sister's yard and waited for me to take her picture! I just couldn't resist! Even with the bright sunshine, I kind of like the shadow of the leaves on her neck/back.
Day 152: Okay, I kind of cheated here. I took this picture last year or the year before at the Porcupine Mountains (not on day 152) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The coloring looks really neat to me. The funny thing is, I took it with a really cheap disposable camera. (I heard you are not supposed to aim your camera directly at the sun to take a picture because you may ruin the lens. I'm not sure if that is true or not...) I do like how this picture turned out, though.
Day 153: My kitchen is full of bright colors (and stainless steel). :) These are bottle candles. I just thought they were interesting.
Day 154: This is my Angel. She thinks she's a bird.
It looks like a nice day today, so I may go for a walk and see what I can snap a picture of! I hope you have a great Monday!

My teapot looks remarkably like yours, by the way.

Nice week of shots...love the tropical sunset one!
You can point your camera at the sun, you just have to take a few precautions, like a UV filter and a high f/stop.
Love love the one of Angel!! and the sunset? or rise.. rats.. can't remember!! =) and yay for sweet victories!! =) oh yes... and I was going to say something about the UV filter... my hubby had/has one of those I think?!! ha ha! ;) Are you still loving the 365... you are doing fabulous with it! =) I might ... maybe ... just maybe get to read this week!! maybe by Friday?!! =)

Hey, we've been skiing at the Porcupine Mts! It's awesome there!
Great shots, I like the colorful bottles in your kitchen. Congrats on finishing the writing project.
Thanks for the email on Lightroom!
I LOVE those sunset pictures, so beautiful! Great photos!
Pennie, Love those sunset shots. Yes, supposedly you may damage your camera's sensor if you take shots directly at the sun. I've done it a number of times, too! They're very pretty, though!
Have a great weekend!
Christine
