Stepping Out

Well, it's been a whirlwind of a weekend...wow...it's Tuesday already? How did that happen?
Over the weekend a couple of my board members and I went to the Hearts at Home Conference in Rochester, MN and set up a booth for SAMmy's, Inc.

We featured two semesters of our curriculum and were running our promotional video.
Our booth looked pretty good, if I do say so myself! ;)

We spent all of Friday night and ALL DAY AND SOME OF SATURDAY EVENING talking to a whole lot of women about starting a SAMmy's Charter group. It was so fun!

 Here's a pic of Kelly handing women our much coveted SAMmy's hot pink fingernail file. It had our website printed on it. (http://www.sammyinc.org/) Pretty good marketing ploy thought up by our Marketing Director, Cathy Jenson. Fingernail files are something women want, they don't throw away...and these files were CUTE...everyone wanted one (except the self-professed nail-biters...but they were few and far between!).

 Melissa speaks to a woman about starting a SAMmy's Charter group in her church. They really are a great way to bring moms of all generations - from first time expecting moms to grandmothers - together! Everyone who is in SAMmy's just loves their group!

It was such a fun time...but I was REALLY exhausted! That extra hour of sleep on Saturday night? I didn't even notice it! I was STILL exhausted! I'm glad I got the chance to do this, though. I hope our ministry expands throughout the Midwest as a result.
My next plan of attack? I think I may start looking into writing some articles and then include our website and Charter group info in my bio. (When I was at the conference, there was a book of devotionals from the Bible-In-A-Year people that was being sold at a different table - a Christian Book Distributor...I happened to have something published in it and the fact that I was Executive Director of SAMmy's was in the bio! I got to show some people that who I was talking to! That was kind of cool! That's what gave me the idea...)
