Wordy Wednesday

I haven't been blogging as much as usual. Time is just getting away from me! Summer is winding down, and fall is definitely ramping up...I can certainly tell that! Tomorrow the kids start school here in Wisconsin - I will have two high schoolers for the first time. Bridgette has gone through her freshman orientation.
I took Aaron into an orthopedic surgeon - he needs surgery. I scheduled it over Christmas break. The poor kid is getting a ligament reattached for Christmas! We'll have to celebrate it a week early or week late. (Mike can break that one to his mother!) He originally dislocated his shoulder this past winter when he slipped while carrying groceries for me and fell against the ATV that was parked next to my car. It has continued to pull out of socket while knee boarding/water skiing, sparring in karate, etc. He apparently wore off part of his ball joint bone in his shoulder, too. I should have taken him in months earlier. I guess I won't be nominated for the Mother-Of-The-Year-Award this year again. Sigh.
It's double coupon day! I have my list all typed up and my weekly menu all planned out. I'm really super-organized because I made up a new blog that I've been posting for my friends, so they can just print it off and go to the Rainbow Food store here in the Twin Cities area after cutting out the coupons from the paper. They just save the Sunday coupons each week, copy my list and the items they like from my menu and away they go! They don't have to think about much throughout the week. It looks like I have no followers, but I have about 7 women who have told me they are using it...and, I have to do it anyhow - so it's only a little bit more work for me to type it up and post it. I like doing it, and it keeps my brain working. :) (http://www.penniesdns.blogspot.com/)
It looks wet and gray outside. They said it was supposed to get sunny. I hope they are right, because I had plans to wash the spare room bedding and hang it out on the line. This weekend my BIL and nephew are supposed to come stay with us. My nephew is going to be dropped off at a college about 40 miles from here for his freshman year. He's 3 years older than my Aaron...which makes my heart pitter patter, because I know we're not far behind! Yikes!
Well, that's enough for this random post. I just wanted to touch base and catch up with you all. What's new in your life in the past week? I hope to stop by and visit. I thought summer was a busy time, but fall is definitely busy, busy, busy! :) Have a good one!

It's definitely a busy time of year, but eventually it all settles into a nice little rhythm, doesn't it?

That's so nice of you to take the time to set up that little list of yours!

So, is the surgery going to be his Christmas present too? Yeowch. I doubt I'll ever get Mother of the Year award. Too many gaffes on my part...
I'm going to check out your new blog!
Survive tomorrow and give them something to wipe your lipstick off the bus.

Wow...2 kids in high school! We are just starting kindergarten here....and I'm so nervous for Caleb. I hope it all goes well.

Sounds like a great website you've put together. I only wish I could use those coupons up here!!

School started here today and I feel fall in the air. Today is supposed to hit 90!

We have been trying to enjoy every second of our short summer here in Wisconsin so I haven't been blogging much the last couple months either. The looooong winter will give me plenty of time for that.

So sorry about the surgery. I hope all goes well. We have started school, then took a break. We'll start up again next week. :)
