A Fun First

Well, Blogger has been a bugger for me the past day or so. So - if I haven't commented on your blog lately, you know why! I had a LONG comment on one of your blogs...it was either Jen's or Jenn's and it totally wouldn't let me post the comment and just gave me a long error yesterday. FRUSTRATING!!!! UGH!!!

Yesterday I had such an interesting day. I had my Thursday Girls, as usual. It's always a great way to start my Thursday mornings...coffee and three girlfriends who know me so well!

Then, I picked up Shelly so we could meet Kami from My Beautiful Day. I had all sorts of ideas of what this would look like - meeting a bloggy friend for the first time. I had planned to do this a few times before, but plans always fell through. Shelly wanted to meet Kami, because they share the same last name...that's how Shelly first became interested in Kami. Shelly doesn't have a blog of her own, but she reads blogs (of course, since she's my flesh-and-blood friend, I'm her FAVORITE blogger...RIGHT, SHELLY???? Well, since I'm her flesh-and-blood friend and the fact that I'm writing this post, anyhow...). She is a Pioneer Woman stalker, and now a Kami stalker, too. She doesn't have to stalk me...we're partners-in-crime, remember? She couldn't get rid of me if she tried!

ANYHOW...I digress...like usual...

I picked up Shelly and off we went to Applebee's to meet Kami. We were pretty excited. Off on another adventure...

And, bloggy readers - it was so WEIRD. Not icky-weird; more like deja-vu-weird. Here we were, by all rights strangers - we had never met in person before. She came in, I waved her over to the table and we said hi and hugged like sisters. It was the most comfortable, natural thing ever. And we laughed and caught up and filled in the blanks on the news that our blogs didn't provide. It was great. Did you see Julie and Julia? Kind of like when Julia meets Avis...they knew each other so well from the writing already when they met for the first time. That's how I felt!

Now, I'm off to start celebrating our 4th of July festivities. We're tubing today. Actually, I'm just spotting, Mike's driving the boat and the KIDS are tubing!!! I better start packing our picnic lunch...oh, and start making the traditional red, white and blue jello mold. (Yes, I really do that!)
